T.J. VanDyke, President

My name is TJ VanDyke, and I am President of the Board at Reelfoot Youth Camp. My family and I attend Glendale Church of Christ where I am a deacon. I first got involved with RYC back in 1996 as a camper and have been involved, at least in some way, for most years since then. I sponsor a week-long camp and a weekend retreat each year through Glendale, and love the idea that RYC gives young people the opportunity to grow closer to God and fellow Christians to enhance their Christian walk.

Andy Brewer, Vice President

I'm the preacher at the Phillips Street church of Christ in Dyersburg, TN. Married to Kristy who grew up coming to RYC during Glendale's week and have two daughters, Kenadie and Charlee. I did not grow up attending RYC (except for the fish fry each year) but started working as a counselor during Bishop Street's week in 2001. Have directed that week since 2012. I've worked with the board since 2013 and am honored now to serve as Vice President.

Diane Kendall, Secretary

I'm Dianne Kendall. I'm the secretary for the camp. My JOB here at camp is considered therapy to me, I enjoy it very much! My husband Joe and I attend Mr. Zion Church of Christ, which is very close to the camp. We have four kids, Lacey, Austin, Brendan, and Caroline. My Father-in-law, Donnie Kendall, came up with the idea of this camp and his parents donated the land. I am grateful to them for making this camp possible. I did not have the opportunity to attend here when I was young but I know it would have helped my spiritual journey.
My first interaction with the camp was in 2015 when I helped cook for a summer camp with Bishop St Church of Christ. And that's when I decided to do all I could do for the camp. Being a part of these children's crucial years is a very important Christian work. I love God and try to serve Him always, however I can.
In my spare time, I love to spend it with my family. I also enjoy helping our homeschool group, going to yard sales, going West for vacation, putting together family reunions, researching genealogy, and cooking.

Ashley Horner, Treasurer

My name is Ashley Horner and I have been Treasurer of RYC since 2021. I am married to Jason, and we have 2 sons, Cole and Mason. We attend Glendale Church of Christ in Newbern. I am the owner of AKT Specialty, a small business begun by my parents more than 30 years ago. I have been involved with Reelfoot for many years as a camper, counselor, and now a board member. My goal for RYC is to help ensure Christian fun and sound teaching for future generations.
Justin Beard

My name is Justin Beard. I am married to my wife, Heather, and we have a son named Samuel. I am the preacher at the Bishop Street Church of Christ in Union City, Tennessee.
I have been a member of the board since 2022. I was first involved with RYC in the late 90s when my father, Kevin, preached at Glendale Church of Christ. It was a joy to attend as a counselor again in 2023 and I look forward to future years.
I enjoy Alabama football, Cardinals baseball, spending time with my family, and cooking.

Daniel Johnston, Resident Manager

After much prayer and discussion, Reelfoot Youth Camp is proud to announce Mr. Daniel Johnston as the new resident manager beginning in December.
Daniel and Michelle Johnston have dedicated their lives to their church, family and their community. They are active members of the Bishop Street Church of Christ, where Daniel serves as an elder. Professionally, both Daniel and Michelle are registered nurses.
Daniel works at Obion County Central High School, where he not only teaches the medical classes and serves as a HOSA advisor, but also serves as the head coach for the boys' and girls' soccer teams.
Michelle works as the Sr Supervisor over Clinical Education for Oak Street Health.
The Johnstons are proud parents to two daughters, Haley and Hannah. Haley is married to Morgan Klutts, and Hannah is married to Jacob Arnold. The couple is eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first grandchildren, with Haley and Morgan's baby due in December and Hannah and Jacob's baby arriving in February.
Their commitment to community service extends beyond their professions; both Daniel and Michelle have been integral to RYC since 2002, where they have served many years as counselors and nurses, sharing their skills and nurturing the faith of the younger generation.
